CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES

SPINAL MANIPULATIVE THERAPY
Spinal manipulation, also called spinal manipulative therapy or manual therapy, remains the cornerstone of chiropractic practice. The primary goal of the chiropractic adjustment is to improve mobility of the joints, decrease pain, reduce inflammation, and improve function of the musculoskeletal system. It is used in combination with other therapies such as massage, acupuncture and exercise to treat a variety of conditions related to the spine and extremities.
SOFT TISSUE THERAPY
Soft tissue therapy has many benefits, and there are several techniques that can be used to help manage pain and treat trigger points. Dr. Macey employs a variety of techniques that relieve pain and inflammation, improve tissue and joint mobility, prevent further injury, reduce spasm, correct abnormal postures, and improve circulation. Improving circulation and blood flow to muscles, tendons and ligaments is vital to restoring and maintaining healthy tissues.

FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATED ACUPUNCTURE
Functional Integrated Acupuncture breaks away from the Traditional Chinese methods of acupuncture and targets the anatomy relevant to the source of your pain and dysfunction. Different strategies are used for acute injuries and chronic pain conditions that make this a highly effective treatment modality. Acupuncture brings oxygen and nutrients to the damaged soft tissues to decrease pain, improve mobility and promote healing times.
FASCIAL ABRASION TECHNIQUES
Fascia is a layer of connective tissue primary composed of collagen which surrounds our muscles and nerves, creating tension between various groups of soft tissue. When damaged the fascia can become inflamed, creating scar tissue and adhesions. Fascial abrasion tools are special instruments to help restore the fascia and promote tissue mobility. This technique can be used to treat painful conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, golfers elbow and many others.

EXERCISE THERAPY
Dr. Macey strongly believes that exercise therapy is necessary as part of the rehabilitation process. Exercise serves to improve mobility, decrease pain and strengthen damaged or weakened tissues. Most importantly exercise therapy helps maintain progress between visits. Dr. Macey creates customized rehabilitation plans based on your specific needs.
